なぜ私が台湾に留学したいかというと、中国語を話せるようになりたいからです。

私は高校２年生の時にカナダに１年間留学をしたので英語が話せますが、世界には母国語と英語を話せる人は沢山います。

そこで私が日本語と英語と中国語が話せると、ビジネスで活躍できる範囲や機会が増えるだけでなく、

より多くの人の意見や考えを聞けると思いました。

それだけでなく、台湾は治安が良く、留学の費用が他の国と比べて安くなるところも選んだ理由です。

私は最初中国語を勉強し始めた時、你好と謝謝しか分かりませんでした。

なので、文法や単語を１からひっかり勉強しました。1番苦戦したのは発音です。

語尾が上がるだけで全く違う意味の単語の発音になったりするので１つずつゆっくり発音しながら発音と単語を同時に覚えていきました。

台湾で使われている繁体字は日本語の漢字と同じ字が使われているので、リーディングに苦労したことはあまりないです。

私は早く台湾人が話すスピードが聞き取れるようになりたかったので、台湾人のユーチューバーの動画を沢山見てスピードに

ついていけるように今も頑張っています。

私が臺灣思惟を選んだ理由は、駅から近いので通いやすいこと、ネイティブ台湾人が中国語を教えてくれること、

授業では中国語を話すことが多いので、スピーキングが上達するからです。

私は国立政治大学の英文系と淡江大學の外交與国際関係学系に合格しました。

私は淡江大学には合格する自信があったので、合格したと知った時はとりあえず大学生になれるという気持ちでした。

ですが、政治大学が第一志望だったので、合格発表の日までドキドキして、

もし合格しなかったらどうしようと考えていました。

第一志望の学科には合格できませんでしたが、第二志望の学科には合格することができたので、とても満足しています。

Why I want to study abroad in Taiwan is that I want to be able to speak Chinese. When I was a high school student, I went to study abroad in Canada for one year, so I can speak English. But there are a lot of people who can speak their mother tongue and English in the world. So, if I can speak Japanese, English, and Chinese, not only I can expand the range I work and increase the opportunities, but also, I can have more people’s opinions and thoughts. Also, Taiwan’s public order is great, the expense of study abroad is cheaper than other countries.

When I started learning Chinese, I only know “Hello” and “Thank you”. So I studied grammar and vocabularies really hard. The most difficult thing is pronunciation. Only the end of a word goes up, the pronunciation is gonna be completely different word’s pronunciation. So, I remembered pronunciations and vocabularies with speaking slowly. In Taiwan, there are a lot of same letters used in Chinese and Japanese, so I don’t think reading Chinese is difficult. I want to be able to hear the speed of Taiwanese speaking quickly, so I’m trying to keep up with the speed by watching many videos of Taiwanese YouTubers.

Why I chose 臺灣思惟 is that it locates really close from the station, native Taiwanese teaches Chinese, and there are many opportunities to speak Chinese, so we can brush up the speaking skill.

I passed National Chengchi University’s department of English and tamkang university’s  department of diplomacy and international relations. Actually, I had a confident to pass Tamkang University, so when I knew I passed, I thought I can be a university student for sure. But NCCU was my first choice, so I was nervous until the day I know the result. I thought what if I didn’t pass my first choice department, but I passed my second choice one, so I’m satisfied.
